Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. We’re a large group or company—can we book a private experience?
A. Absolutely. We love working with corporate teams, schools, and organizations. Please contact us directly info@volunteerally.org to plan an experience that fits your group’s needs and goals.
Q. What should I bring with me on the day of the package experience?
A. Always come prepared with a water bottle and sunscreen and any additional items listed in your specific package details.
Q. How are the packages different from regular volunteer opportunities?
A. Unlike our main site ( https://www.volunteerally.org ) which offers general volunteer events, these packages are specially designed to offer a deeper, more immersive experience and cultural education opportunity. Each itinerary is thoughtfully curated to blend eco-conscious activities, cultural connection, and environmental stewardship.
Q. Do I need any prior experience to participate?
A. Not at all! Our experiences are open to all skill levels. You'll receive guidance and support from our local organizations every step of the way.
Q. How do these experiences support the local community?
A. We work directly with local nonprofits, cultural practitioners, and environmental organizations. Your participation helps support ongoing restoration, education, and sustainability efforts in Hawaiʻi.
Q. Can I bring my family or friends?
A. Yes! Many of our packages are great for small groups or families. Just check the details to see age requirements or group limits. Those 16 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult on all package experiences. Those under 18 must get parent signature, all ages sign waiver & liabilities
Q: When is the deadline to confirm attendance?
A: All attendees must confirm by the booking cutoff date to secure their spot.
Q: What happens if fewer than 10 people book?
A: We require a minimum of 10 attendees total. If that number isn’t met, we’ll notify you at least 48 hours in advance.
Q. Are there any safety precautions I should know about?
A. Yes. While all of our experiences are designed with safety in mind, participants should be prepared for outdoor conditions like sun exposure, uneven terrain, or light physical activity. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and bringing a reusable water bottle. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to joining any activity. If you have any health concerns or accessibility needs, please let us and your package leader know in advance so we can best accommodate you.
